Executive Summary
In 2026, the National Department of Health launched the TB Thuthuka Community of Practice: Leading Implementation and Change programme to build adaptive TB Coordinators across all nine South African provinces. To support a grueling schedule of over ten 5-day training sessions, Bransult Creative was brought in to transform static Word documents into high-durability, practical, and beautifully branded physical training assets and custom apparel.
Bransult delivered a multi-touchpoint solution combining robust print engineering with multi-technique apparel design, elevating the training experience for health system leaders driving critical national outcomes.
The Challenge
TB Coordinators operate at the high-pressure intersection of national policy, data systems, and facility-level clinical care. The training program required learning materials that could withstand heavy daily use across long 5-day workshops and serve as a long-term operational desk reference beyond the classroom.

The Print Challenge: The source material existed as plain Word documents that lacked visual hierarchy, structural scannability, and structural durability for daily handling.

The Apparel Challenge: The program needed professional, durable high-identity apparel for coordinators acting as “TB Change Agents” that integrated official government branding with distinct program elements.

1. Engineered Print Materials (The Training Handbook)
Bransult took raw source files and redesigned the content into a high-utility, visually organized A4 Training Handbook. Key production and design enhancements included:

Tabbed Sectioning: Built for rapid navigation across core modules (Session 0: Realities & Listening, Session 1: Leadership & Horizons Framework, Session 2: Data Ecosystems & Excel, Session 3: Quality Improvement & SBCC, and Session 4: Strategic Visualizations).

Wiro Binding: Allowed the A4 book to lay completely flat on desk surfaces or fold back seamlessly during active workshop exercises.

High-Grammage Inners: Upgraded standard paper to thick, high-grammage stock to prevent ink bleed-through during participant reflections, exercise notes, and data entry exercises.

Thick Glossy Covers: Provided edge protection, moisture resistance, and a premium tactile finish capable of surviving multi-province travel and constant handling.
2. Multi-Technique Custom Garment Design (Change Agent T-Shirts)
